T-De-Esser Plus is also free and adds ‘Audition’ (Delta-listening).

Upon testing, i’ve found that it acts (and sounds) more like a frequency-selective compressor than a de-esser, since it attenuates the full-band signal based on the trigger.

I had an issue with Norton…their support team were quick to respond to resolved the problem. It turned out to be my favorite De-Esser (free or paid), and it’s now used in my current project. Many thanks to Techivation, James, and Tomislav.

On the developer page it is described running on
Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) – macOS 10.15 (Big Sur) .
I can’t open it on OSX 10.10. digital signature failure …
