M1LimiterLite is a limiter plugin suitable for use on the master bus and individual channels. It features intelligent attack and release parameters that automatically adapt to the input signal.

Thanks to its combination of brickwall limiting and transparent compression, you can use M1LimiterLite to boost the volume of individual instruments or to give your mix that final loudness polish.

The plugin comes with five “Style” presets (Hip Hop, EDM, Rock, Pop, Ballad) designed for different music styles. As expected, the “EDM” preset delivers the most aggressive type of limiting, whereas “Ballad” sounds more transparent and relaxed.

As for the control scheme, the user can define the amount of headroom that’s needed (from -0.01 dB to -4.50 dB) and then adjust the Input Drive slider to achieve the desired level of limiting and compression.

The plugin is easy to use and it sounds very good. If you don’t trust your ears, there’s also a handy multi-colored loudness meter at the bottom that will let you know when the signal gets “too hot.”

    Just got the plugin. Very straight-forward checkout with name and email. Coupon worked like a charm. A email with the download-links (Mac pkg, VST and AAX installer) arrived almost immediately. Simple click, fast download, simple and smart installer. Select a directory and it will put a single vst.dll in it (in my case, 64bit vst).

    Pretty nice, looking foreward to put it on a bus or master. Thanks for the freebie!

    The skin seems different with AU in Logic Pro X 10.1,
    like a matrix grey, cover picture missing … (OSX 10.10)

    I have to say that release date of this plugin kept me wondering, if it will be as good as a modern limiter. M1LimiterLite is dated 2015, so I was eager to test it. Glad to report that it is a handy and easy to use tool.
    So far I only had good results. Even though it kept clipping the waveform, I haven’t noticed any distortion. There was no smearing of transients and overall character of tested drumloops wasn’t affected. Except of course the LUFS level.

        I just downloaded & installed this, no issues at all & it sounds just incredible, very high quality audio units as expected from Roland.
        It works offline too, which is just awesome. Much appreciated for the info guys, now to test it further 😊
