I also really appreciate everything that you do here! However, daily updates would be FAR too frequent and annoying. Once or maybe twice a week is ample! :)

I get so many emails every day from every music tech company and email subscription list, especially IKMultimedia, Plugin Alliance, Production Expert, KVR Audio, Plugin Boutique and every other brand out there, no thanks to entering occasional competitions = Hundreds of emails within only a few days! I really can’t keep up with it all! XD

Just wanted to add that i really aprreciate the work and i this webiste is one of those i check out regulary.. so it doesnt matter the frequence of new posts since – same here – there is this thing called life and days go by without having the chance to acually follow whats going on anyway. Conclusion: i am happy to find something when i do have to time to look for it.

That’s true; sometimes a week goes by without any decent freeware, and then comes a week like this one when it’s pouring freebies. I have a piece of paper right now on my desk with fourteen freeware topics that I’m trying to cover this week (six are crossed out, plenty more to go). Now, a year ago, when I wasn’t yet a father, this was easy, but life got a bit more complicated in the meanwhile. :) Either way, I’m still aiming to provide a daily source of freebies on BPB, just need to fine-tune the process and the workload.

My goal for BPB is to cover the best freebies and deals for music producers. So, not exactly everything free that gets released, but a more curated selection of free and affordable music production tools that bedroom producers (and even the pros) will enjoy. I think that’s what makes BPB unique. However, there’s always room for improvement, so suggestions like yours and Numanoid’s are super helpful. Going forward, I will do my best to implement all the tips and requests provided by the readers. Thanks for reading BPB!

i honestly like the “i post when there is something to post” approach.
often there isn’t anything, other times we still inform each other in the comments

not to mention, other blogs try to do the “freeware for the week” post, or whatever, and when it gets to a point that one HAS to find something, anything, just to meet schedule, i think this is where the quality goes down

all this to say, i don’t care about a schedule at all. tutorials are a weird request, but i’m not at all against site improvements (thinking mainly about proper notifications for comments, so sometimes interesting exchanges can continue to happen in older posts, otherwise it’ll just die down once newer posts are available)

I think when people try to put out as much content as possible the quality lowers. There is also more of a push to get an audience (because of course they want all the content to be read) and that means more clickbait titles and more sensationalist news.

It’s also possible that less time goes to cool stuff like making their own plugin series, or posting freebies and price drops, which is the main point here.

There are many huge music news websites and magazines that cover an immense amount of topics. I don’t know if the guys here can compete with them and I don’t think they should. They have a good thing going. This is pretty unique.

If it can be made with a simple workflow adjustment, I’m great with it. But if its a tradeoff… I wouldn’t go for it.

Just my two cents. I think it’ll be great either way!

Anyway, several people suggested the same in the survey, and I’m making this my priority as soon as life circumstances allow it. Other popular requests in the survey were more tutorials (which surprised me tbh) and site design improvements. I’m still happy with the design, but please let me know if you have any specific suggestions in that area. Thanks again for your support!

Hi Numanoid, I know, and I agree 100%. The problem is I’m trying my best to do consistent work while parenting a baby, and lately, it simply hasn’t been possible to post articles every day. It’s a rollercoaster ride and some days are completely crazy. I try to post everything I can whenever I manage grabbing a few hours in front of the laptop.
