Absolutely, it’s free to use (v4, that is).

As a REAPER user i just takt it for granted..

Oh to make things spiced up Tracktion also uses racking method of inserting plugins – so it’s straight rival to mentioned Ableton !!! :D And let me tell this again – THIS STUFF IS LIKE A CHRISTMAS GIFT !!!! :D This couldn’t be better day :D

Exactly, everything starts making sense very quickly after the initial shock. :)

The thing that there’s no standard mixer view got me confused at first, but controlling everything on the channel strip itself is actually very intuitive.

You are supposed to look at literally everything from left to right, song, input, flow.
The work area is in the bottom middle.
The only thing that’s really really illogical at first is how you insert plugins, synths and effects.
But after that, everything is actually easy.

In my opinion the world’s easiest DAW is energy XT, and probably Garage Band, but that’s not nearly as powerful as energy XT or Tracktion.

I got Tracktion 4 as a Behringer promotion and upgraded to T6 for 30$ right now, mainly to get an extra license of Melodyne Essentials, but there are tons of new and really powerful features on T6, that I will look into.

It would be interesting to know if you can upgrade to T6 from the free T4, that would be an insane deal.
