With such a huge giveaway, any limits on any downloads made no sense to me, so I decided to pass. I only happened across this nugget while looking to see if ik products needed an internet connection to work. Ended up reading old posts from some ik guy in a forum where he tried to justify it, going on about storage costs and how they use some of the better CDNs. I can’t remember if I rolled my eyes first or burst out laughing in disbelief.

Yes! This weekend probably buy one – get twelve free. And so on. The pace just now is about 1000 new every 50/60 hours. This makes least three new plugins for free every week until 30th September. Probably buy one get 18 free.

Yeah,we all know IK sucks,but at least this deal is so valuable,I think it is still a nice choice.

So does it mean, that if quantity of these offered free plugins increases, you will be able to get some more stuff without spending another dime?

In short – we all know that installation is a bit quirky. But you only do that once. 180-days sounds download, well you can save your downloads on a separate hard drive. No big issue. And technical support is really lousy, we know that.

So what have we got? SampleTank – some older sounds are very outdated. Newer sound are better. This strange sample ROM-player is rather lean on resources and an OK bread-and-butter sample player. The same goes for Syntronik and SampleTron. 3 out of 5 stars. Nothing really shines, nothing is really bad.

Amplitube 5 is a small gem. IMHO not as good as Brainworks but still very, very decent. And some amp simulators really rocks. For 150 bucks you’ll get a plethora of amp and cab sims due to group buy. The same goes for T-Racks, but the amount of plugs is less comprehensive. Nearly 5 out of 5.

Just installed ARC, seems a good idea, but I must use it a bit more for a final verdict. The same goes for Mixbox.

The bright shining stars are Modo Bass and Drums. Impressive! Lots of nice tweaking.

So, after buying MODO Bass, I got Modo drums, Sample tank, Syntronik, SampleTron, MixBox, ARC and some T-Racks and AmpliTube stuff for free. Albeit not using everything, it a super bargain! And it’s still 25 days to go until group buy is terminated…
