I noticed this too, very weird indeed.

I suspect they mean ugly in a UX and plugin management sense, not in an aesthetic sense. Aesthetically, the plugins are usually quite nice, and they work well, too. Nevertheless, IK’s installation and user experience has been pretty awful for me, too, for a number of reasons. Compatibility hassles between Sampletanks, Syntronik synths having two different versions depending on when you bough, everything always installing, or installing incorrectly, in the wrong place, formerly having to pay to renew access to your sound libraries… Just so many things. And IK certainly knows by now they have cultivated an unfortunate reputation in these areas, they just don’t seem to care–which is baffling, given the care they put into the plugins themselves. Their actual plugs look and sound great, yet all the ancillary hassles make me wish I’d never invested in any of them.

Who cares whether it’s ugly?!
