In reply to Kidsonic. I agree with you about Bittersweet and Transient. But Dominion, Couture and transpire are all good. There is also Transient monster by Stillwell audio which isnt free but is full featured nag-ware with unlimited access (just like reaper).

Nah. Just nah. I’ve had most of these plugins and Bittersweet is SH@& because the transients FLUXuate which makes it impossible to use (especially in Electronic Music). Sleepy Time DSP’s transient is also rubbish as the transient does not hit hard enough. Never used Coture tho, but I’m sure that it won’t be that great. Graillon 2 wasn’t that great and for £21 as a student, heck, i ended up getting auto-tune Access for just £29 more with student discount.

I’m using Audio Assaults Transient+ (which I got for free one time) and MultiTransient (which you can get for very few money from time to time), but I think they have an older free version anyway on VST4free. I have a second one in mind which I didn’t test so much because of the above mentioned: SPL Attacker Free (Plugin Alliance).

Btw: Audiority TS-1 CM is part of Computer Music’s plugin repository, so you can get that by buying any single issue for about $5. Not sure if it is feature reduced.

My current favorite freebie is Sonic Anomaly’s Transpire which should be at the top of this list IMO.

Dominion is an oldie but a goodie and also deserves to be on this list right behind Transpire. Not a fan of bittersweet or Transient by comparison.

Can’t comment on the selection above, but my go-to TS is Transpire by Sonic Anomaly. Sounds great, looks great, easy on the CPU, free, easy to use.

Very impressed, I never use a transient designer, I do that with compressors, but now I know how do it better with my synth lines!!
