      What is your music production goal for 2024?

      I’m starting over at the fundamentals of sound, going through Mastering.com’s The Reverse Engineer program to learn mixing and mastering. My goal is to finish the first two parts of that program in order to give myself a solid foundation for what I really want to do, which is music composition and production.

    What is your music production goal for 2024?

    I’ve been working on some scores for a handful of old silent films. I’m starting with a few shorts and plan to move up to some feature length pieces before year’s end. I’ve never scored anything before and it’s easily the most ambitious thing I’ve attempted so far but I feel pretty good about it considering.

    I have built a modest following and would like to keep that growing and growing.

    My goal is to stop worrying about the mix and learn to focus on getting a good track first and then worry about the mix, I spend far too much time on half a track, getting it to a point that I can listen to it all over the place that I get bored of it and leave it unfinished.     I am a modern square dance caller.     I have 4 nearly finished albums that I haven’t mixed down because I have not had a home where I can set up monitors. I’ve been working exclusively with plugins and I think my headphone mixes are getting pretty good, but I still want to do my final mixes on monitors. I might right some smoother segues between tracks. I have 1 album of dubby and psychedelic electro/house, one album of brooding but colorful techno, one album of baeleric boogie, and one album of throbbing ambient techno. I hope to complexly finish them all before the end of 2024.

    My goal for 2024 is ambitious to me. I have almost exclusively worked in Pro Tools since 1996, back then Logic was not at all Logic ;-) But for numerous reasons, I have realized I need to switch to Logic.
    For actually to get to produce anything. I have stuff lying around, I would like to work on. But I find myself fiddling around
    in Pro Tools in stead of getting my hands dirty. But not that easy! I had a stroke 11 years ago, and my mental abilities for learning new stuff is drastically reduced. And I get extremely tired extremely fast. So I know it will be a struggle.
    So my goal for 2024 is to learn a new DAW (Logic) from bottom up!

    I’ve got about 1500+ demos and riff ideas as of now and out of those, 140 are slowly being turned into songs. In the next year, I want to at least have 1 song fully done and uploaded for the world to hear. Also while I am working with clients, I want to branch out and help more people on the journey (being a mastering engineer and delivering masters or teaching people) and Ozone would be a perfect tool for that. Other than that, creating stuff of course

NZ is an extremely expensive country with low wages and a small industry, but location matters less and less each day.     Might be oversharing here, but…
    Life’s been real rough lately, and depression has made it so hard to find the joy in making music. I’ve been on quite the online hiatus lately, but last week, a listener of mine emailed to check up on me. In our conversation he mentioned that he would listen to the music I made when he was feeling depressed, and he said that it helped him get through a rough patch of his life. I realized that the main reason I started uploading my music was to try to make myself known, make money, and win competitions. And yet, the songs I rushed out of the DAW were meaningful to people I didn’t even know. By God’s grace, I’ve been getting help with my depression, and I’m working on getting my life together. While I’ll probably need to fix up or replace my old PC first, I know what my music production goal is for next year: To start making music again, not to try to get popular, or to get rich, but just for the enjoyment of others. But this one got shelved when I got sick. The sickness is gone, but the energy is not fully back. Focus will give me energy, and that will birth this delayed project.

Then I’d like to get some TV appearances to support the launch. I’ll produce videos for social media. I’d like my music to appear in films.     My production goal is to get some ADHD help from a doctor as I tend to get bored easy and venture on the Cakewalk Forums Deals area for new plugins. Plugins are like addictive! I rather just browse for the next new plugin that actually making new songs. I really need help in just focusing on the happiness of making new songs again!

    I just wanted to let people know how depressing this year has been in collecting so many plugins that I don’t have use for them all! Depressing. I just need to STOP collecting and start creating.

    I own iZotope Ozone 10 Standard and the Advance package would be nice. I don’t care for Baby Audio as thier software installer doesn’t have Windows Certification, if any of the other brands don’t have Windows Certification, I’ll not install them…

    My goal for 2024 is to post more ideas. I’ve done this in the past as it felt freeing to put out something even if it was jst a short or vague idea rather than nothing at all. Yes, I would like to finish more tracks, but that will come naturally with not limiting myself to what I’m okay sharing with the world.

        Well my goal always has been to find the unique sound that I can credit to my ‘sound’. Being a new one in this field I think the goal for my 2024 music production phase would be putting out songs and tracks that I’ve finished to review. I say this becuase having no support from my parents (monetary, e.g.buying equipment and plugins) this giveaway could help me out alot in my journey as a music producer. Having my life up till now I have always loved each and every kind of music that I’ve heard. And I think it’s natural that I can do this work(music) that pulls me naturally towards itself.     My music production goals for 2024 are pretty grandiose. I’ve outgrown the spear bedroom I started in about 5 years ago. I’m expanding the storage area in my attic and adding shelving and lights. This will allow me to turn my garage into my studio space. This will give me about 4 times the square footage I currently have. I’m also excited to design my sound absorption with a lot more knowledge than I had when I first started. I will be able to set up my drum set again as well as use my KRK V6 monitors and matching sub. Currently I’m using 4.5″ focals because the V6’s are too big for the space I’m in. Don’t worry I’ll still be using the focals but now I’ll have different monitors to reference when mixing. I have a live record I’m wrapping up the mixing on for a Chicago punk band. Then I’m mixing a 4 song EP for a post-punk band that will be pressed to vinyl. After that I’m scoring an indie film that’s in the editing stages now. That should keep me busy for the first few months of 2024.

    First of all thank you for this great opportunity and for these blessings! Truly appreciated.

    As to my 2024 goals, they all center around ways to share the Gospel through my beats.

    At the end of the day, music should be used to share messages, help us reflect.

    And I’d like my music to help us reflect on the meaning of life, which I am convinced is to have a relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

    But to be able to achieve this goal, I’ll not only need to find ways to make my message impactful, but also to fine-tune my sound so that people want to listen to my music.

    For that last part, I believe that the prizes for this giveaway would certainly help me with discovering new sounds and unlock hidden potential.

    My goal in 2024 is to release some of the material that’s been waiting for me to polish off with the final touches and then, after that, move my music forward and in a different direction; to that end, firstly, I aim to improve my skills. I then aim to get better at sound design, processing samples and cultivate a sonic identity on top of my melodic leanings.

    I aim to produce with more intent and find a better balance between letting the song go where it wants to go and making it go where I want it to go.

    I aim to cultivate a better, more polished production and a denser, if a touch more minimalist overall sound. I’ve been going at it pretty much with a maximalist mindset, and while that’s well and good, sometimes, less is way more.

    And of course, release more music. So far, this blog and this black friday has both provided invaluable resources for me to grow and keep making more and better music, so, here’s to that!

My aim is to record it (with the help of my 18 year old grandson who has just started work as a sound engineer) in styles including Gothic Rock, Choral, Shanty (a capella), Ska and Renaissance (Medieval Minstrel). I’m 72 and he introduced me to DAWs and virtual instruments as I had introduced him to 60’s and 70’s music.

    My production goal in 2024 (aside from having more free time to produce music and learn about music production) is to improve my electronic drums playing and use my own played and recorded instruments (Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Drums) in my songs instead of write or sequence the in the DAW.

    Re-organise my studio for a better work flow. Integrate my modular system with my DAW (Expert Sleepers). Currently working on piano pieces as a basis for tunes/songs. Consistently record output (both audio and midi). Harvest best parts. Layer other sounds (from DAW, live drums, live sax, guitar, bass and modular rig). Complete tape and electronic audio builds and add them into final rig.
    Translate the above into something that could be performed – to include Pure Data and Gem.

    My goal for 2024 is to sell the house I am in and find a place where I tried to set up my gear but unfortunately before I could set things up I became disabled and I can’t afford to live in now that I am about to turn seventy-one years old and retired I can not find work here so I need to move back to California where I can work and an old building so I hope to get back to recording and producing after thirty years since my recording studio was destroyed in the 1994 Los Angeles earthquake which I happened to be at when it hit so I suffered the loss of not only my business but I was also severely physically injured and because I had just moved locations I became disqualified for the FEMA aid so I had to look for work in the film business then I had health issues but somehow managed to survive so I am hoping to be able to find a location and set up what equipment I still have and finally finish at least one album of my own as the writer-artist producer-engineer and help some of my friends finish their music as well because I was born the son of a man who played horns in big bands then went to college to be able to teach band and started me out playing clarinet then after the Beatle were on Ed Sulivan like everyone else I traded for a guitar then realized that I had never played chords but I was fortunate enough to see the Beatles live in 1964 and saw the Paul only had to play one note at a time so I traded for a bass guitar then my father bought a mono Ampex in the early 1960s so he could record his students concerts and taught me how to teach myself how to record so I could help him. Then when I began high school I began playing in bands bought a stereo, then a three-track recorder then a few years later bought an entire studio in San Diego CA upgraded to a 16-track and an eight-track, and began releasing records none of which ever made any money because the bands always split up then moved into a TV station and began producing and directing videos then moved to Los Angeles but before I opened the door to my new location the quake destroyed it and I never got back to recording again in the last thirty years and during that time I decided that because I was never happy with my recordings of my music that I threw away the tapes and now I am hoping to finally be able to finish music I will be happy with! I bought the Slate VSR8 but then found out my computer was too old and that it would not work with the new MAC computers so I still need to buy some gear to have a compatible system.

So if I have any goal at all, it would be to get all my stuff back and find a new place to live. But the problem is that I can’t even get a attorney. Gotha is Mafia and so is the BGG. All made-up lies and corruption here. There ain’t no justice here, but the omerta! That’s why there was even a book released by an Italian anti-Mafia journalist named Claudio Cordova, titled “Gotha: The unspeakable Connection between ‘Ndrangheta, Freemasonry and Secret Services”.     I’m aiming towards finsihing my project with cover versions of more or less famous love songs that touched me the most. The first title on the set list was »If you see her say hello«, one of my favourite Bob Dylan tunes. This music is also a firm connection to my sister who introduced me to much of the folk- and rock-based music I started to listen to when I was a teen. I hope she will like my interpretation, but there’s still a fair amount of recording and polishing to do. So it seems to be a reasonable but ambitous goal for ’24. Cheers!

    I am an electronic/experimental musician who has been messing around with music for about 2 years now. It has been an amazing journey for me, and I’ve succeeded in creating a couple of demos that have been adventures in themselves. However, I know that if I want to take the next step on my path to finding my musical style and niche, I need to start producing more regularly than once or twice a year. My goal for 2024 is to create at least 1 finished song (that is, a mix that I’m happy with, NOT a perfect finished product) each month for an entire year. I don’t expect to always stick firmly to this goal, but I will try my hardest.

    I don’t know if the winners get to choose plugins, but my preference is BABY Audio’s Transit plugin. It would make my workflow significantly easier.

    What is your music production goal for 2024?

    None. Sony Music gave me 6 copyright strikes for my YouTube channel back on October 9th and vanished all my hope for a career with my musical passion. I’m currently to revive my old channel as much as possible but it’s not so easy with thousands of videos.

    After more background history with it, I’m personally disappointed with the complete music industry as such and think about to create a stable life and get a normal job as everyone else on this planet. And I advice anyone to so the same and just produce music for yourself. Don’t stress up anymore for goals you’ll never can achieve in this tank, not only of sharks but also liars and frauds.

    This plugin and music industry is pack full of lies dealing with your hope and naivety. It was very hard for me to experience this so late now. I wished a got this rearthrough of it way sooner.

    But I thank BedRoomProducerBlog for your input and information I got through the years.

    Maybe my goal for 2024 is to find myself again, personally but also musically.

    I still wish to complete at least one album in my life. But for now, I’m just fed up with this industry.

    I want to improve, that may sound obvious but my ears are getting better and better at spotting production faux pas. I’m also in a position that accumulated a fair amount of knowledge on composing structure, general production work, and also engagement with communities online that I can’t wait to add to that and progress. Never could afford any type of musical education, so learning some theory would also be good. In 2024 though, as a father who also works full time, I want a better balance between home/music/work, maybe by improving my workflow, template options and utilising plugins that can help with some of the production heavy lifting.

I work hard for my monthly bills and can get through the month but i know how it is to be an artist with not that much money to pay mixing engineers.           In 2024, I would truly like to learn to “own” creating sonically distinctive tracks, both instrumental and vocal, that challenge the possibilities of music production medium in my own ways. Previously, I would always shy away from certain ideas, afraid of being too eccentric or misunderstood. And so, I want to continue polishing my skills through new explorations of different techniques, tools and sonic flavours, but above all by putting the creativity first – in the foreground. I also plan to continue my collaboration with artists from different disciplines, but this year adding more focus on enjoying the whole endeavour, rather than constantly worrying about how it will all turn out, like I have the previous few years. In other words, trust the process and my artist instincts in the new year – it’s about loving what we do, so let’s go 2024!

      This year I had my third reboot, motivated by the best friend I ever made, to just play something over a clip he provided me with, out of love, regardless of the outcome, which started my biggest project ever, landed major label deals, led to many friendships and career opportunities. Been producing for 17 years. I also got my first film score deal. My goal for 2024 is to finish our debut album and make it the best thing I ever ever made, which the tracks finished so far already are, and my second goal in 2024 is to make this film score, which is for a German studio that has been producing for Hollywood (blockbuster status) for aeons. I am currently broke and my best friend is having me over as a guest, life is tough, we are in the countryside, life changes were big and a necessity, the main goal is basically to have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep on, warmth during cold nights, a plate of soup when I need to, while doing what I always loved and love and will love as long as I am alive and breathing.

    My music goal for 2024 is to compose, record, produce and release another Compatibles2 Album. This time influenced by the Dark Ambient music style mixed with Berlin School elements. I will use virtual and real synthesizers to establish the sound and record it on old school equipment to add an analog touch. The basic instruments will be Korg M3, Korg Wavestate, VCV – Rack (free) and additional virtual instruments and effects. This record will also be performed live in different improvised versions live during this coming year.     What is your music production goal for 2024?

    As an aging (read that as old) ex product specialist going back to Sequential Circuits (the first time) I want finish getting several power house synths (stand alone) ALL on the same page with CC controllers. Which might sound easy but getting, say UVI, Avenger, AAS and the NI ecosystem all listening to CC# x on their various synths to respond at once is no simple task.

    What are my music production goals for 2024?

    In 2024, I hope to really progress in the DJ world and start bridging the gap to producing. I took up DJing because I wanted to experiment with remixing the songs I love, but I’ve been building my plugin and sample collection and have started beginning to learn the basics of DAWs. 2024 is going to be the year when I finally progress from smaller remixes, using fades, effects, and the like, to larger remixes, where I start fully taking apart and rebuilding songs the way I imagine them in a proper DAW. I might even create my own songs if I have an idea that really sparks my imagination.

    The Last many many years spent with my mental and physical health recovery, and I’m aiming for a new fitting job and feel happy doing it every day, and also with a new apartment, I want to finally start building my (first) own Homestudio in my middle-aged.
    So I’m saving like everything I get and spending it on my passionate hobby.

    Hoping to Win and use the Gear in a daily base program to create Content and Free Stuff.

    My goal is to go from Reason 10, Studio One 4 Professional and Windows 10 to complete mastery of Reaper 7 and Linux, and also create my own custom theme for Reaper 7 with my own (non-AI-generated) artwork. I also want to exclusively support the music software and hardware brands that support Linux and DRM-free software, and in the process slowly but steadily move away from all of my paid plugins with DRM from companies with constant EULA revisions, forced telemetry and always/regular online activations with CPU intensive and power consuming background processes that runs in my OS, and also means a higher electric bill
    .
    In the long run I only want to use freeware, donationware and paid plugins that doesn’t use DRM that requires online activation, or at least with the option for a one-time offline activation method, or preferably plugins that use no DRM at all.

    I also want to design both my own physical EPs, and later album, cover and booklet with a classic jewel case with my own artwork in order to get the full nostalgic experience like the ones I remember from my childhood and teenage years before the steadily growing digitalization of every music, movie, game and book mediums in the mainstream.

    My goal is to get enough money for and start an education as Producer/Mixing and Mastering Engineer at m*******g.com (don’t want to “advertise” here without a given permission) before getting to a 15 year anniversary as a hobbyist producer next August, to finally be able to go professional. Ideally – to also already have released some of the already “pretty much done” stuff through an online distributor of my choice before that anniversary.

    My music production goal for 2024 is to actually take the time to play around with the dozens of VST and Audio plugins I have laying around. While they have been used for my video editing endeavors to great effect, from filters to voice changers, I do want to dip my toes into legit music production.

    Especially when many of the music charity bundles I purchased over the months also came with so many different loops and samples to play with. It also won’t be long before I purchase my 2nd music creation software, so there’s no better time to start than now. And it seems I have the biggest head start I could ask for.

I am now at a point where my goal is to create an EDM album inspired by old PS1 soundtracks, a mashup of DnB, House, Ambient, Jungle etc. The goal is to also make it sound as close to possible to the Playstation 1 DAC, using IR from old CRT TV’s as well as bitcrushers/downsampling.

    I have several goals for next year. I recently reunited with my 1st band and we are making an album together. It’s Psychedelic (sometimes psychotic) Rock. I am also going through all of my old cassette 4 track recordings (tascam portastudio 424 and vestax vestafire) , transferring then to digital and then will clean up and eq as much as possible. Lastly, I am recording bass parts for several bands including two based in the UK. I am based in the USA amd we collaborate via file sharing online.

    My goal for 2024 is to re-record some old songs in a more cohesive form. The mixes so far sound very different and are still more like demo recordings. Some have more bass, some have more synthesizer sounds. Some sound like mono recordings, some have too much reverb, others sound too dry.

    Because of a bootkit infection, I recently had to take my system down to bare metal. Now I have to completely re-install and re-configure every piece of software I use to produce music, before I’ll be able to accomplish anything meaningfull.

    So I’ll be happy to get one, new song recorded, mixed, and mastered in 2024.

    Hello BPB. I’m a Producer/Singer. My goal for 2024 is to release an EP I lost due to my hard disk crashing in April last year. It happened after I relocated to a new country in Asia where I don’t speak the language. It took me almost a year to finally land a job and start saving towards recovering my harddrive, which has my works for over the past decade. I am finally going to recover my files this December, have my 5 track EP ready by January 21 and release it March 1st.

        You are not alone Brother, same thing +/- here, keep being lured by new stuffs and marketing emails, always end up telling myself “well cool but it’s basically the xxx’th plugin that makes the x thing, why don’t you focus on learning well the ones you have instead of wasting bags on new ones that will end up on the long “opened once” folder…

        Ah yes, and often new stuffs equals also to “let’s put aside those tracks im working on and start new ones to try the new toys! I’ll get back on those later”… no need to say in the years, the folder containing those projects almost needs a dedicated hard drive lol 😆

    For the coming year, I’m going to do my best to explicitly suppress my constant preoccupation with perfectionism, and spend more time doing the things in which this fixation tends to be especially detrimental. The list goes on and on, but some of the stuff on my mind, in particular, are things like: FINISHING more complete, released songs; getting more lyrics written, instead of incessant wordsmithing; actually playing and practicing my instrument more, rather than constantly tweaking something or another; and so on, and so forth.

      My music production goal in 2024 is to start and finish as many songs as I possibly can, continually improve and build on my skills through further education and continue to master the art of music production and hopefully come up with something exciting and new and out there
