From now until the end of the month, you can save on select Universal Audio plugins at Plugin Boutique during the UAD All Stars Plugins Sale.
Universal Audio seems to have picked up the reins from constant sales advocates like Plugin Alliance.
The latest offer is the UAD All Starts Plugins Sale with up to 83% off various best-selling Universal Audio plugins.
Some of these are steep 83% discounts, like the recently released Helios Type 69 and Manley Vari-Mu.
There are quite a few UAD plugins included in the sale, some priced much higher, but with some of my favorites numbering among them.
For $149, you can snag the API Vision channel strip.
I’m a huge fan of this one, and a recent convert from the also-excellent Lindell 50. I love the compressor action and choice of EQs on this channel strip. The modeled preamp sounds great on most sources and scales well on a 4K screen.
If you’re going for the channel strip, you might as well snag the API 2500. This lives on my 2-bus for the time being.
The action can fluctuate from superbly quick to slow and groovy with ease. I will say I adore the thrust control, which can really help punch forward the mid-range on a guitar bus.
If you’re snagging compressors, no UAD recommendation would be complete without the 1176 Classic Limiter Collection.
While you might be satisfied with just one of these snappy FET compressors, you’ve got your choice of revisions with unique tonal characteristics.
The LN variant lives on my drum bus in parallel. Its snappy action makes quick work of stubborn snares and toms. I prefer something a bit more on the kick by itself, but that’s a story for another time.
You’ll love the blue stripe if you’re constantly working on vocals. When coupled with something slow and smooth like the LA-2A, it can tame just about any vocal.
UAD also has the EL8 Distressor and Fairchild compressors on sale. I can’t speak personally on those, but they get good lip service from some of my friends.
The Minimoog also sounds excellent and was one of the first things I tested when demoing Spark last year.
There’s plenty to choose from here, and you still have time to decide. However, you’ll want to move quickly before these sales are gone at the end of this month.
