Modern Metal Songwriter’s comprehensive Gamma Vocal Suite is now available for just $79, which is 43% off the list price of $139.
The plugin was released last month and is available for Windows, Mac and as a standalone app.
Gamma features an all-in-one vocal effects chain, and Modern Metal Songwriter states that it makes getting pro vocal sounds easy with just one plugin.
Gamma Vocal Suite is designed to help producers achieve polished vocal sounds while enabling complete flexibility over the vocal chain.
This flexibility is achieved via a modular design that allows you to order the effects in whichever way you choose.
Gamma features the following nine modules: Compressor, Delay, De-Esser, Equalizer, Saturation, Limiter, Width, Reverb, and Doubler.
The developer may be called Modern Metal Songwriter, but the plugin is designed with versatility in mind, so you don’t have to be Andy Sneap to get plenty of use out of it.
Each module is kept reasonably simple, but the developers have included enough variables to broaden the sound shaping options.
For example, the compressor features two compressor chains, the EQ has both analog-modelled and digital curves and the reverb features two custom units.
You may be wondering, why not just apply all these effects with individual plugins?
And of course, that traditional approach is very effective. But the point of Gamma is to put everything you need right at your fingertips, making getting your vocal sound quick and easy.
Towards this end, the developer has included a range of presets designed by various producers and vocalists to get you up and running quickly, without the need for a bunch of knob-twiddling just to get a basic sound as you are writing or getting a rough mix going.
Not to mention, the current price of $79 is certainly a lot cheaper than buying nine separate pro plugins to get the same arsenal in your DAW.
All that said, some of Gamma’s individual modules, such as the saturation and de-esser, only have three or four parameters.
So, when you compare it to a high-quality plugin dedicated entirely to one effect, you have less ability to finetune things with this all-in-one approach.
Gamma is available as a VST3, AU, or AAX plugin for Windows and Mac.
The plugin is compatible with Windows 7 or newer and Mac OS 10.13 or newer.
