Sonuscore releases The Orchestra Elements, a FREE orchestral scoring library for Kontakt Player.
The Orchestra Elements is a slimmed-down version of Sonuscore’s flagship orchestral Kontakt library, and it’s free to download.
It’s also compatible with the free Kontakt Player (6.7.1 upwards), which is even better news.
The Orchestra Elements is slightly different from many of the orchestral libraries we get for free because it provides a taste of an entire symphony orchestra rather than a single instrument.
The library features 25 string, nine brass, and twelve wind articulations. It also features playable percussion and choir, which is more than enough to build epic scores.
The promise of grandeur that comes with the sound of a symphony orchestra might also bring some trepidation because composing and arranging for so many instruments can be a daunting task.
But Sanuscore’s clever Ensemble Engine makes it easy for beginners to craft orchestral scores with plenty of life and movement.
It does so using multiple independent arpeggiators and velocity envelopes. I’m so pleased to see that level of independence in a free library.
Still, as promising as that sounds, the demo track could better showcase the possibilities with The Orchestra Elements.
Sonuscore says its innovative Ensemble Engine is designed for beginners, and I think there’s more to gain from this library than some free sounds.
I like the idea that beginners can tweak so many articulations and better understand how orchestral scoring works.
There are 30 presets that feature common groups of instruments, and again, that’s an excellent way to learn more about the relationships between specific instruments and orchestra sections (what works and what doesn’t).
The interface has a Mixer page where you can pan individual instruments and adjust EQ, Compression, and Reverb settings.
If my memory serves me well, I think The Orchestra Elements is one of the most complete orchestral freebies that we’ve had (I know we’ve had a few over the past year or two).
Now, if a symphony orchestra has more instruments than you want to think about, why not go back to basics with Uncle John’s Banjo (free with the coupon code BPBRULES)?

onI got the serial number through Best Service (I already had an account there), not directly from Sonuscore. It took one day. Right now, any download from Best service is not working properly. Probably many people trying to download right now. I’ll try again later/tomorrow. Might be the same problem with the Sonuscore website

onThanks as always for sharing! Downloaded product directly from Sonuscore’s site but never received a serial number for Native Access. Checked orders, downloads, emails, and invoice. Wrote them and waiting to hear back. Just reporting in case anyone else had the same issue.
