IK Multimedia is giving away the Fender ’57 Custom Champ amp sim combo to new AmpliTube 5 Custom Shop (CS) users until the end of June.
AmpliTube 5 CS is a free virtual guitar rig platform for Mac and Windows.
The Officially Certified ’57 Custom Champ sim is based on the 5-watt, single 8″ all-tube combo that IK Multimedia says is “probably the most recorded amp ever.”

The developer describes the combo as having “an amazingly diverse tone palette for a small, one-knob amp” and calls it “the perfect companion for those who love dynamic, overdriven tones and crisp, classic cleans.”
The freebie includes both the head and speaker, so you can jump right into using the amp.
To get your free amp, create a new account for AmpliTube 5 CS via the IK Product Manager and follow the detailed instructions on the giveaway announcement page.
The giveaway is only for new AmpliTube 5 CS users, and is dependent on the month of registration – in this case June.

IK Multimedia will be giving away gear for new AmpliTube 5 CS users throughout the year, although the latter giveaways will also be dependent on the month of registration, so it seems you can’t collect all of the freebies, unfortunately.
On top of the monthly giveaways, IK Multimedia is running an additional bundle giveaway in 2024 for new AmpliTube 5 CS users.
On January 02, 2025, three prize winners will be drawn for the bundle giveaways.
The grand prize winner will pick up Axe I/O, ToneX Pedal, and Total Studio 4 Max.
The ‘first place’ winner will receive Axe I/O One, ToneX One, Mesa Reference and Metal Gems.
Meanwhile, the ‘second place’ winner will get iRig HD X and Metal Gems.
AmpliTube 5 CS is IK Multimedia’s virtual guitar rig builder, and the stock-free version of the platform comes with 42 pedals, amps, cabinets, mics and rack FX units.
IK Multimedia launched AmpliTube 5 in December 2020. It features various products, ranging from the free AmpliTube 5 CS all the way up to the flagship AmpliTube 5 Max v2.
AmpliTube 5 Max v2 is currently on sale for $100, down from the list price of $300.
IK Multimedia offers an enormous array of expansion packs for AmpliTube 5, including official packs from players such as Slash, Brian May and Jimi Hendrix, as well as official brand releases from the likes of Fender, Mesa Boogie and Orange.

onAh too bad, looks like I’ve to sit this one out. Hopefully they’ll do a giveaway for existing users in the near future

onAmpliTube 5 CS won’t let me add this, there seems no way to redeem this offer, so just new accounts, we previous customers get nothing and like it?
FLS
onSeems like it, no clue how to redeem this.
Steve Charlton
onRead the other comments here for a work around, cheers.
Karl
onDamn… So I gotta create an alt for this? No way.
Ryujin Ayato
onPSA: You can still get it even as an existing user.
All you need is just unauthorize your AmpliTube in Product Manager, reauthorize it, then refresh your purchase (the circle icon next to your username) and it’ll be added in. (Restore your purchase in CustomShop if you haven’t already, just to make sure).
Sincerely, a long time IK user

onYes! Confirmed to be working on my end! May i suggest that the article be amended to reflect this, Tomislav. :)
After reauthorizing & refreshing, i received the notification: ” ’57 Custom Champ registered as a free product “.
Tomislav Zlatic
onAwesome, thanks for letting us know! :)
alex
onThis worked. Thx.
George
onYA MAN! I get it) peace
Pink Cliffs
onThank you! Worked for me too
I was also confused for a bit because i couldn’t find the ‘CS’ version. This was because I already owned the ‘SE’ version (likely from some BPB-alerted freebie!), which appears to be one of the paid versions of Amplitube
Sam Nielsen
onHi,
Did you make it work?
I have SE too and as you said it’s a bigger version.
Was it safe to unauthorise it?
Sam
onUpdate: RYUJIN AYATO solution worked with SE too. Just had to unauthorize, authorize, hit the recycle button and then go to Custom Shop, restore purchases -and there it was!
jiachen
onThere appears a message saying it’s registered but it’s not in CustomShop. Any idea?
NICK
onDo it again but with the amplitube open in your daw, at least that worked for me
MCA
onDoes not work for me. I followed your instructions, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Mike
onThe same for me
Jordan O
onSame here. I’ve tried the instructions multiple times. Tried updating all of IK’s many programs (IK Product Manager, Authorization Manager, Custom Shop). Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Amplitube 5 CS. Tried reauthorizing via Authorization Manager.
I recall this exact thing happening last time I installed a freebie amp from them. Same confusion every time, but I always managed to make it work in the end. No such luck this time. I’ll report back if I can figure it out.
Michal Ochedowski
onHats off to RYUJIN AYATO. Your instructions worked flawlessly. It took me less than 1 minute to redeem this offer. Thanks a lot.
scanmine
onThat worked great! Thank you!
scanmine
onThough I should note that, I had to unauthorized each copy of Amplitube on all of my computers and then reauthorize one of them, to make it show up in my gear.
MCA
onThank you very much! That was the solution! I appreciate it!
AB
onARIGATO ! works well indeed, thanks brother, free amp to play with :D
Karl
onWoah, thanks!
Jj
ontried it several times… even updated and installed the new ver of CS then clicked unauthorize and then reauthorize and then refresh then opened custom shop and clicked restore purchases… what am I doing wrong? It does say it is authorized on 2 computers. do I need to open my old comp and unauthorize it there too?
B
onThank you so much. You are a true angel. God Bless you for sharing your knowledge.
Bruno de Souza Lino
onAll I had to do is open Custom Shop, click on my user name and select “Restore My Purchases.” No removing authorization or anything of the sort.
alex
onOT:
I’ve always thought Amplitube uses way too much CPU and now I’ve found out about this:
There’s a known bug in amplitube which makes it use twice as much CPU as necessary. When you open it, simply toggle between dual amp and back to single amp to reduce the cpu load by about half.
It works. I think it’s useful info.
Evheniy
onIt really is. Thanks. Didn’t know about that.

onmeldaproduction.com is celebrating their 16th Anniversary for another week with some historically low prices!
For instance MEssentialsFXBundle, MSoundFactory (Full / LE), MGuitarArchitect are all 60%+ off.
You can get an additional 20% off through MeldaProduction’s website (only if you haven’t bought anything through their website yet) by using a Ref. Coupon before Checkout, here’s mine: MELDA11820040
Adam
onStrangely enough, this gave me the 57 champ but NOT the advertised 57 custom champ ?!?
alex
onDon’t worry. Yours is certified by Fender, too :)
alex
onBut all joking aside, you’re right – they do make both 57 Champ and 57 Custom Champ. The amp sounds great, tho.
mx
oni got both amps – the champ and the custom champ – by un- and reauthorizing amplitube. even more strange…
in real life i own a little fender champion 600 which i modified myself with a different speaker and two additional switches that take out the tonestack and the negative feedback loop.
both switches make the amp a bit more crunchy or distorted depending on the position of the volume knob and change the timbre slightly.
sweet little amp!
alex
onWell, I only tried 57 Custom Champ reissue and really liked it but it was really overpriced.
And now you have a Champion 600 and both plugs. You’re lucky. I envy you :)
Sanctum
onHi, Sonniss 2024 27 gbs of free audio assets/soundfx is out. I don’t remember seeing it shared here so you’re welcome.
AB
onIt’s useless to fill your drive with so much non targeted content.
Actually not useless but counterproductive.

onGood Morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone:
This is my case:
In my website account, I can see that I have AmpliTube 5 Custom Shop. I registered in the IK Product Manager but it still doesn’t show up there.
I restored my purchases in Custom Shop app, but the ’57 Custom Champ® software isn’t still “My Gear”.
What do you think about?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Aaron
onIt gave me ’57 Champ, not ’57 Custom Champ. My IK Product Manager has 2 notifications that it registered both ’57 Champ and ’57 Custom Champ. But only the ’57 Champ is available. Tried restore purchases on AmpliTube App and also Custom Shop.
Bren
onHi everyone.
I just tried the Unauthorize/Authorize method from the Product Manager and it worked.
Two items were added.
I think one is the Amp model, and the other one is the Cab model, which is why people are getting confused.
Also, in the notification, the Amp added is named ’57 Custom Champ, but it shows up as ’57 Champ in the app, which adds to the confusion :-)
Tommy Gomez
onThis workaround does not seem to work for me!
