Sonuscore announced that the new lo•ki felt piano sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt will be available as a free download for a limited time.
lo•ki is a high-quality felt piano sound library for the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt. It features over 5.7 GB of sample content (compressed to 2.6 GB using Kontakt’s proprietary audio format), with five velocity layers and five round-robin variations per sampled note.
See also: Best FREE Piano VST PluginsSonuscore used three different microphone positions to sample the piano, capturing its unique nuances and sonic detail. The user can fine-tune the sampled sounds via the instrument’s streamlined interface.
The bottom row hosts the volume envelope (Attack and Release), dynamic range, mechanics, tape, and ambiance controls. Sonuscore also provided several different reverb types and the unique “Glow” control, which adds instant atmosphere and depth to the piano’s sound.

If you’re wondering whether or not lo•ki is worth the 2.6 GB of your hard drive space, the answer really comes down to your preference for piano libraries. It’s an intimately sampled felt piano that will work great in emotional pieces, music for film, etc.
