Cinematique Instruments Release FREE Klang Series For NI Kontakt

Cinematique Instruments have announced the release of Klang, a series of freely downloadable sound banks for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Klang was announced in celebration of Cinematique Instruments’ ten year anniversary. The company will release a new Klang sound pack every month. At the moment, there are six instrument patches available for free download as part of the Klang series.

The first batch of Klang sound packs covers various sampled sound sources, ranging from old drum machine sounds (Krautrock Machine) to heavily processed electric guitars (Unstable Guitar). The patches share a similar-looking interface but each library has slightly different control parameters. For example, Krautrock Machine allows the user to select different drum samples and alter the sequence, whereas the Echolette Choir offers tone balance controls and a built-in distortion effect. All six sound packs are easy to use and feature inspiring sounds which most musicians probably don’t already have in their sample arsenal.

The best thing about Klang is that the packs can be download directly from the Cinematique Instruments website, without the need to register nor activate a user account. You will need the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt to use the sound packs without the demo limitations of Kontakt Player though. Users often get confused that the sound bank they downloaded isn’t free, but they’re actually using the demo version of Kontakt to load the downloaded sounds.
