AVA Music Group releases Decadence Trailer Toms by Karel Psota

Decadence Trailer Toms is a cinematic drum library crafted by the renowned sound designer Karel Psota and released by AVA Music Group. The library is currently available for €86 (excl. tax), and we have three FREE copies available for three lucky BPB readers.

Karel Psota is an outstanding musician, composer, and sound designer whose work in film, TV, and video games is second to none.

Karel is best known for his meticulous attention to detail, making him the ideal person to oversee a project like Decadence Trailer Toms.

Karel Psota and AVA Music Group spent three years crafting Decadence Trailer Toms, recording as many toms as possible and blending sounds to create unique tones.

Several years of deep sampling resulted in a cinematic percussion instrument that sounds more organic than any I recall hearing.

Trailer Toms provides ten velocity layers and nine round robins to create nuanced performances that sound naturally dynamic.

The library includes various toms, war drums, darbuka, booms, taps/tops, kicks, snares, claps/sticks, and cymbals.

Each element of this collection serves a particular function.

For example, the Magnum Toms create texture and are intentionally less punchy, allowing the following sounds to cut through. Similarly, the taps and tops are smaller drums, perfect for creating inner rhythms between larger drums.

Of course, you can use each drum however you please, but Trailer Toms has you covered for any typical trailer music and media composition scenario.

Many sounds in this library are inspired by celebrated composers and scores. Mad Max inspired the 3WAY Toms, the Le Pilat Darbuka was inspired by Dune 2, and the Defeat War Drum provides deep, powerful percussion that is undeniably Hans Zimmer-esque.

Trailer Toms features a step sequencer and an advanced FX GUI with rearrangeable modules. It also features over 150 customizable MIDI patterns ready to be dropped straight into your project or used as a starting point.

As much as I love cinematic instruments, I don’t always get too excited about playable percussion libraries because even the best ones typically need some work or layering. Still, I’m so impressed by Trailer Toms.

    Honestly, my favourite action movie series is John Wick. Such a wicked run of films (Still yet to see the final one). If I had to pick runners up it would have to be Edge of tomorrow: Live, Die, Repeat and Maze runner. Other than that I’m not really a huge fan of action films.

    There are lots of good action movies. But my all-time favorite is “Die Hard.” In my household, we watch it every Christmas––it’s our favorite Christmas movie.

    (A close second would be “Independence Day,” another great holiday action movie.)

    My fav film in actions can be many. One i remember is KATHTHI (Indian film) released in 2014.
    There’s a Coin Fight Sequence which was choreographed brilliantly.
    Also ENTHIRAN : THE ROBOT (2010)

    My favourite action movie is Casino Royale (2006). A great Bond film which revitalised the action movie genre in style (that beginning parkour chase scene served as the inspiration for the wave of similar chase scenes since). With a story actually from the Ian Fleming source material, an ambitious score by David Arnold, and a theme song by Chris Cornell; what more could you want!     Oh, hard question, i like sooo many action movies… A lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and, and, and…

    But i would say, one of the best action movies are the ones from John Wick..! All of them are very nice…!

    Raiders of the Lost Ark is listed as Action / Adventure on IMDb, so that’s my choice for favourite action movie.
    The soundtrack by John Williams is fantastic and Decadence Trailer Drums would blend well with this sound and type of movie.

    Favorite Action Movie of all Time? The original Star Wars! I can’t help but smile when John Williams blasts those first few horn notes and the yellow textual introduction to the saga begins its crawl. Takes me back to the wonder and amazement only a child could have at the spectacle of it all. First memories of being deeply emotionally effected by the magical mixture of screen and score.

    but Action Film Scifi “District 9” was my proud moment as a proud South African featuring our first own SciFi Action film in our Countrys History!

      If that’s not actiony enough, the 2010 version of 13 Assassins was really entertaining. Or how about Yimou Zhang’s Shadow for something with a more modern production. Definitely unpredictable and gritty.
