So, what comes in Audio Boutique Techno Elements 3.0?
You’ll get 508 total samples, which cover a fairly large breadth of sounds.
These are divided into one-shots for the likes of drums, featuring kicks, snares, and other percussive elements. However, the more interesting material comes in the synth sounds. These aren’t presets, but processed samples, and they cover quite a bit of ground.
The likes of basslines, atmospheres, and melodic loops are all present. If you’d prefer to make acid techno, then the MIDI sequence files might be of more interest.
Fed to a proper acidy synth like Phoscyon 2, ABL3, or anything with a resonant filter, you can really coax out the squelchy magic.
Now, I’m not a techno producer in my free time, but there is quite a bit to enjoy here. You could readily use these samples to create the aforementioned techno, but the drum sounds wouldn’t be out of place in the likes of tech house or even types of trance.
The synth one-shots are captured, among others, from vaunted hardware like the TB-303, SH-101, and Pro-One. The drum sounds seem to fall in line with similar tastes, and you can certainly feel the legacy of legendary drum machines like the TR-808 and TR-909 when flitting through samples.
In addition to raw samples, you’ve also got the option of sampler formats for popular DAWs and platforms. Audio Boutique has included patches for Ableton’s Sampler, Logic’s EXS format, and Native Instruments Kontakt.
Techno Elements 3.0 might be wasted on you if you’re more into boom-bap or more sedate genres. However, those with a love for the dancier hypnotic forms of electronic music will find plenty to love.
